How It Works​

Upon activation, a dedicated "WooCommerce Role-O-Matic" menu appears in your WordPress admin. From here, you can configure two powerful types of assignment rules.

1. Amount-Based Role Assignments​

Reward customers based on their total spending within specific timeframes.

• Flexible Time Periods: Define fixed dates (e.g., "Q1 Campaign") or dynamic ranges (e.g., "Last 90 days").
• Targeted Rules: Apply restrictions based on user roles, specific products, or categories.
• Min/Max Amounts: Set thresholds (e.g., "Spent between $200 and $500").
• Automated Assignment & Removal: Roles are assigned when orders are placed or updated. Optionally, roles can be removed if a customer no longer meets the criteria.

2. Product-Based Role Assignments​

Perfect for managing subscriptions or granting access with specific product purchases.

• Role-to-Product Linking: Assign roles automatically when a product is purchased.
• Expiry Management: Set fixed or relative expiration dates (e.g., "Expires 30 days after purchase").
• Purchase Restrictions: Prevent customers with active roles from repurchasing prematurely.
• Expiry Date Shortcode: Use [wcra_show_expiring_dates] to show customers when their memberships expire.

Automatic Role Recomputation​

WCRA can periodically re-evaluate all customers against your amount-based rules in the background.

• Configure intervals (e.g., every 24 hours).
• Set a start time for the process.

On-Demand Role Recalculator​

Need to update roles immediately? Use the built-in "Roles Re-calculator" tool to process all customers with a single click, without waiting for the next automated cycle.

Important: Control which order statuses trigger role assignments (e.g., 'processing', 'completed') from the General Options menu.
